Deena Payne and Steve Grant wedding

Deena Payne and Steve Grant

After their romantic wedding on a Caribbean beach earlier this year
Emmerdale actress Deena Payne and musician Steve Grant invited family and friends
to join them for a traditional blessing in the 13th-century church near their Yorkshire home.

“When we married in February it was just Steve and me and I felt a pang that our mums,
who are on their own now, would have loved to be there.
So we thought it would be nice to do something in our local church.
We hear the bells ringing all the time for other people and now they’re ringing for us,”
says Deena, 56.
“I’m a village person and like being part of the community.”
